October 14, 2004 Getting Started with J2ME - Cell phone programming

This presentation will introduction to the Java2 Micro Edition (J2ME) SDK. It will focus primarily on how to get up and running with the MIDP API to create MIDLet's for use in with a J2ME enabled cellular phone. I will show how to use KToolbar, and other components of Wireless Toolkit(WTK) to create the JAD and JAR files necessary to create a wireless application and use an emulator to run it.

May 21,2002 An Introduction to JSP and the Tomcat Web Server
St. Louis Web Developers Group
An overview of what JSP is and how it integrates with the other J2EE technologies EJB, SOAP and XML. A short tutorial will be presented that will show how to install and run the Tomcat Web Server and setup a simple web application. This program will demonstrate basic forms processing and how to access a Microsoft Access database using JSP.

Jeff will give a basic overview of installing LINUX and Xfree86 on a PC.
This overview will be from the perspective of a primarily PC oriented
user who has never dealt with UNIX on a system administration or
installation level. Jeff will cover what worked, and what did not as he
got LINUX to be compatible with his PC system.
